Delete your FluencyFlow account
This page explains how to delete your FluencyFlow account and what happens to your data.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
1. Open FluencyFlow on your phone.
Sign in if you aren't already.
2. Tap the menu (top-left).
Then tap Profile at the top of the side menu.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account".
You'll be asked to confirm.
4. Confirm.
Your account and personal data are removed immediately. The app signs you out automatically.
Option 2 — Email us (if you can't sign in)
If you've lost access to your account or can't open the app, email us at fluencyflow2251@gmail.com with the subject line "Account deletion request" from the email address you signed up with. We will verify ownership and delete the account within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, gender, password, ratings, streak, XP, lesson progress).
- Your friends list, blocked users list, friend requests.
- Chat messages you sent.
- Your call history and any rooms you created.
- Reports you made (the report context is anonymised so we keep moderation history without linking it back to you).
What may be retained
- Backups — encrypted database backups are rotated and may contain your data for up to 30 days after deletion. They are not accessible to staff except to restore from disaster.
- Abuse records — if your account was tied to a serious safety report (harassment, illegal content, etc.) we may keep a minimal record of the violation to prevent re-registration with the same details. We do not keep your messages or voice.
- Legal compliance — anything we are legally required to retain (tax records, court orders).
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account or its data after deletion completes. If you only want a break, sign out and uninstall — your account stays paused until you log back in.
